STATUS REPORT 15

Monday 12th December to Monday 19th December 2005

        WMIL

The seventh bait check was completed this week over the first two days. The eighth bait check and monitoring check were also completed this week. The maps for the seventh and eighth checks are given below and reveal fewer and fewer sites where bait is still being taken.

The monitoring check showed positive rat sign only at Lamasgor, Bresgor and Tighard. Unfortunately many stations were interfered with by stock, birds and rabbits. A dead rat was found under the pallets of stock feed in the main shed. It appears to have been poisoned.

A short talk was given at the school about the project and questions from the two pupils answered. General tidying and securing of our bait stores was completed. No days were lost to bad weather this week.

Richard Luxmoore (NTS) and John Bell (Rentokil) arrived on Tuesday 13th December and departed on Thursday 15th December.
